Eligibility

Canadian entrepreneur visa applicant needs to meet the following outlined criteria to establish a business in Canada.

• You need to have minimum 2 years of business experience
• You should have a minimum net worth of CDN $1600,000, and the total amount should be legal
• You need to score minimum 35 points on the points based assessment system
• You need to obey the conditions placed upon you as entrepreneurs once you arrive in Canada.

Business experience

Canadian entrepreneur visa applicant needs to have at least 2 years of business experience. He/she should have had control of a percentage of equity of the qualifying business. Canadian entrepreneur visa applicant needs to have 2 years of experience in the period that begins 5 years before you submit your application and should end when a decision is made on your Canadian entrepreneur visa application.

Full time employment

Canadian entrepreneur visa applicant needs to have been in a paid employment for a period of 1950 hours.

Net worth

Net worth of the Canadian entrepreneur visa applicant or both the applicant and his/her partner should be C$1600,000. The net worth should be legal.

Medical examination

Both the Canadian entrepreneur visa applicant and the family members have to undergo medical examination and security checks for Canada entrepreneur visa.

Obligations

Canada entrepreneur visa holders will have to follow the below mentioned obligations:

• They needs to manage a percentage of equity in a qualifying business equal to 33 1/3 per cent or more
• They should provide active and on-going management of the qualifying Canadian business
• They should provide full time employment in Canadian qualifying business to a person who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident other than family members of the entrepreneur.

Canada entrepreneur visa applicant needs to meet the above conditions for a minimum of one year with in the 3 year period immediately after receiving permanent residency in Canada.

Canada business entrepreneur visa have to demonstrate evidence to the concerned officer that he/she has complied with the required conditions within the duration of 3 years once the permanent residency is granted.
