Eligibility Required for the Manitoba Provincial Nomination Program

Applicants who are presently working in Manitoba or who wish to migrate to Manitoba are eligible for Manitoba PNP.

Currently working in Manitoba:

Applications are accepted from foreign student graduates who have been working in Manitoba full-time for a minimum of 6 months and temporary foreign workers.

Skilled workers overseas:

Applications from international skilled workers are decided on several factors, including adaptability and employability. This is a points-based immigration system which grants points to factors like age, work experience, English proficiency, Connection to Manitoba* and Education.

*Connection to Manitoba: Applicant’s connection to the Manitoba community is deduced through friends or family, or past employment experience or education, or an invitation to apply from the MPNP.

Manitoba PNP enables applicants to:

• Study, invest in a business or work in Manitoba
• Access free education, government-subsidized health care benefits and other social benefits
• Settle in Manitoba with Permanent Residency

Spouse and Dependent Immigration

Manitoba PNP encourages family migration and accompanying dependents who are eligible are:

1. Applicant’s spouse (wife or husband by legal marriage or with a minimum one year of common-law partnership)
2. Children under age 18 of whom the main applicant has legal custody and who are either the applicant’s adopted or biological children or those of the applicant’s spouse
3. Adult children aged between 18 and 25 are considered only if:

• They are pursuing full-time vocational, academic or professional training
• They are financially dependent due to a mental or physical condition
• They are not in a common-law relationship or married

Note: Children who do not meet the above criteria but who wish to move with main applicant need to submit their own application at the same time as the main applicant, and indicate their connection to the main applicant.

Spouse or common-law partner:  $490    

Note: Dependent children are exempt from paying the Right of Permanent Residence fee
