Eligibility Required for the Canada Provincial Nomination Program

Each and every Canadian Provinces does not provide Canada Provincial Nomination Schemes; however, most of them have an agreement with the Government of Canada to nominate immigrants who wish to settle in that province and contribute to that province’s economy.

There are three stages to cross before filing an application for the Canada Provincial Nomination

Job or Employment Offer – Canada PNP applicants must have a valid and genuine job offer from a Canadian company in the province to which the candidate is willing to migrate. Alternatively, the Canada PNP applicant can obtain a nomination certificate if they have a close relative residing in that province.

Provincial Government Approval - The employment or job offer should have been approved by the relevant provincial Government Canada PNP applicants are assessed and scrutinized against the requirement for migration of that particular province. The Canada PNP applicant should prove that he/she has a genuine interest to reside and work in the province.

Application for Permanent Residency - Once the Canada PNP applicant receives a nomination from the desired Canadian province; they can file application with Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) for permanent residency.

Canada PNP applicants are also required to demonstrate that they have sufficient financial assistance to support themselves and their dependants once they reach Canada. Canada Provincial Nominee Program applicants are preferred over other skilled visa applicants by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).

Spouse and Dependent Immigration

The principal applicant or the main nominee for the Canada Provincial Nomination can bring along a common law partner, conjugal partner, spouse and/or dependent children. They should submit their (dependents) visa application at the same time when they submit their application. Every province has its own rules and regulations regarding dependent. The dependent has to fulfill these rules along with other obligations to apply visa for that province.

2.    The Right of Permanent Residence Fee, which will be requested by the Visa Office at a later stage if your application is approved.
