Canada Immigration – New PR Pathway for Experienced Caregivers

Canada Immigration re-opened a short-term pathway to benefit the caregivers for applying and seeking Permanent Residency in Canada. The program that provides a path to the caregivers in Canada who have Canadian work experience after 30 November 2014 is presently accepting fresh applications.

Additionally, the qualifying norms specify them to work as a nannies, home support workers or day care workers.

This Work experience should also be identical to the description, as well as list of duties, as per the National Occupational Classification Group 4411/4412 of the country. This is the opening for the second time after the path was revealed by the Canadian government earlier this year, and will accept applications all through September.

The norms to apply for the caregiver pathway specify that they need an authorization for Working in Canada using the permit which is different from the LCP at the time of applying. On the other hand they can also apply for renewal of Canada Work Permit or else for restoring the status for the permit which is different from the LCP or from the live-in caregiver program.

Additional Eligibility Criteria in Canada Immigration

They must also meet these additional criteria for eligibility:

Having language skills sufficient for communication in English or French comfortably in the CLB/NCLC in either languages

Having 12 months of working experience (full-time) in Canada after Nov 30, 2014, in a relevant occupation

Passing high school diploma from a local school or having an equal degree/certificate from a school outside Canada

In case of outside studies you will need obtaining the Educational Credential Assessment issued in five years from the date of application from the approved organization and the credential must indicate certificate equivalency to secondary school diploma in Canada.
