Canadian Immigration Through a Start-up Visa

• each candidate holds 10% or higher of the polling rights assigned to all shares of the enterprise outstanding at that time (up to 5 individuals able to apply as owners)

AND

• applicants and the selected company jointly hold higher than 50% of the contestants voting rights connected to all shares of the company outstanding at that time

At the time you obtain your PR:

• you need to present active and continuing management of this business from within Canada

• a basic part of the business operations occurs in Canada

• this business is included in Canada

Get a support letter from a nominated organization

You should get a support letter from a nominated organization (a business group that has been allowed to spend in or supports potential start-ups).

You’ll need to:

• contact the nominated organization to determine out how to obtain its support

• convince the company that you have an idea of the business that is worth supporting

• obtain a support letter from the nominated organization

The method to pitch your idea is separate for each company. Every company has its conditions. For instance, you may be required to give your business concept in person or present a business plan details.

If you don’t incorporate the support letter or appear any of the different conditions, your application will be rejected.

Meet the language requirements

You should take a language test from an authorized agency and add the results with your appeal, or otherwise, your application won't be processed.

You should reach the least level of the C.L.B  5 in either French or English in the following four areas:

• speaking

• reading

• listening

• writing

If you don’t satisfy the least language skills, your application will be rejected.

Fund Requirements

The Canadian Government does not give economic support to fresh start-up visa immigrants. The amount you require depends on your family size.
