The candidates receiving the nomination from the PEI get extra 600 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System accelerating the guarantee to get the invitation to apply for seeking the permanent residence in Canada in a succeeding EE draw.
The Labor Impact category of Province has no alignment with the system of Express Entry. This category has three streams–
The category makes it necessary for the candidates to either reside in Prince Edward Island while applying or have a long-term as well as full-time, job offer from the local employer.
The initial step for candidates to get the provincial nomination from the Island in the Express Entry or Labor Impact categories is submitting the an Expression of Interest to the Program. When the candidate successfully meets the eligibility norms stated by the province, the profile enters into the pool of qualified candidates. There is a rank for each profile based on the score that is determined by the exclusive point-grid for these categories. The top ranking candidates receive the invitation to apply towards the provincial nomination in the draw conducted regularly in the PEI Expression of Interest.
