In the draw held on September 20, Prince Edward Island issued fresh invitations to candidates for applying and seeking provincial nominations in various categories. These were the
This draw also ended two Entrepreneur Immigration Streams of the province which were controversial.
Additionally, total 116 invitations were issued in E.E and Labor Impact Categories and eight for candidates belonging to Business Impact category.
Business Category candidates had the norm to score at least 152 points for getting a consideration in the draw. The Office of Immigration did not reveal the minimum scores necessary for the other two categories.
Furthermore, the E.E category of Prince Edward Island requires the candidates to first submit an Expression of Interest for seeking the provincial nomination. Furthermore, the profiles in the E.O.I. get a rank depending on the score of candidates. The selection factors are age, employment, proficiency in language, work experience, education, and adaptability. The candidates scoring high get the invitation to apply seeking the provincial nomination.
The candidates receiving such invitation can submit the complete application, in 90 days after receiving the invitation. After the success in getting provincial nomination, they receive additional 600 C.R.S points. This will help them to increase their possibility of receiving invitation to apply for Canadian PR in the later draws of Express Entry.
On September 20, under the Business Impact category of Prince Edward Island, the 100% Ownership and Partial Ownership streams, issued their final invitations. The Island will also continue inviting entrepreneurs by using the Work Permit Stream of the Business Impact Category. In this stream, entrepreneurs having the temporary work permit are in a position to launch their business in the province. They can receive the nomination for PR in Canada, once they meet, the terms of their Performance Agreement.
