Quebec Province - Immigrant Investor Program Resumes on Sept 10th

The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program will resume from Sep 10th for 1,900 applications. It is a successful program, and also the only Provincial Immigration Stream, which permits the candidates to get the P.R, by using passive investment. The candidates must invest, in the Quebec province for five years. On the other hand, there are many provinces in Canada, which have Streams of Entrepreneurial Immigration that have a norm of applicants actively running a business.

Moreover, owing to all these factors, the quotas for the Q.I.I.P fill up in a fast manner. There will be 1,330 appeals, from China, including the areas of Macau and Hong Kong during the intake, which will continue open till March 15th, 2019.

Changes in the Criteria

The opening on September 10th will be the first, after taking out the program changes, regarding the eligibility criteria, of August 2nd.

These modifications were pertaining to raising high net asset to CAD 2 million, and investment benchmark of CAD 1.2 million. The early requirements related to net assets of CAD 1.6 million and an investment of CAD 800,000. The investment should hold a validity of five years, with a subsidiary of Investment Quebec. Moreover, the Investment Agreement should be made by a financial intermediary, which has the authorization of participation in the Program.

The invested amount (CAD 1.2 million), has the lining and the guarantee, of the Government of Quebec. Moreover, it will be replaced totally, after finishing five years.

The eligibility criteria are Completing 18 years of age, Having experience in management, An aim to settle in the province of Quebec, Getting a passing score in the point-system.

The other business immigration programs that are open to allowing new applications are Quebec Entrepreneur Program and Self-Employed Worker Program.
